KWANZA

I am a storyteller who combines stories, drumming, dance, chants and songs.

 

I have taught and conducted workshops in African drumming, poetry and spoken word, and storytelling in schools in the Greater Toronto Metropolitan Area (GTA), Southern Ontario, United States, the Caribbean, South America, and in Afrika. 

 

I have worked with the Learning Through the Arts Program (LTTA) and with Artysmartsy/Artsjam. More recently I conducted spoken word workshops in Toronto District School Board (TDSB) schools in the Diversity of Voices: Developing Student Narratives project.

 

I have performed for Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu.
